The mechanism

Four registry entries

§0 — Sealed reveal

Nobody knows the grades before the reveal

A card’s grade and model derive from a hash of its number and a secret seed. Before the sale, the registry publishes only the seed’s hash (the commitment); grades stay unknown to everyone — the team included — so no number is worth sniping. On reveal day the seed is disclosed on-chain, checked against the commitment, and traits become final. Eras are the one thing readable from day one: they follow the catalogue number.

§1 — Acquire

A card appears

Every whole $ERRATA token acquired reveals a card from the catalogue — an ERC-20/721 hybrid: the token and the card are one.

§2 — Commission

A one-way trip

Burning the token moves the card from Off The Grid (tradeable) to In Service — permanent, earning. Irreversible: no function, not even admin, can undo it.

§3 — Collect your share

2.5%, unavoidable

A Uniswap V4 hook lives inside the PoolKey: no swap path escapes it. Split: 1.625% to cards in service (weighted by grade), 0.625% to liquidity locked forever, 0.25% to the treasury.
